Edit a file in place
Open an .svg or .xml from Explorer and every save (Ctrl+S, Save, autosave) writes into that same file. Android vector XML stays Android XML.

Start from a blank canvas or bring in an existing SVG. Everything saves locally the moment you hit Save.
Everything you use on the website, plus the things a browser can't do: edit files in place, work on whole folders, and keep going with no internet.
Same editor on both. Here is what changes.
| Feature | Website | Windows app |
|---|---|---|
| Needs internet | To load the editor | NewNo. The editor and built-in fonts are inside the app |
| Where projects live | Browser storage (gone if you clear browser data) | NewReal .json files in a folder you choose |
| Opening an SVG or XML | Import it or drop it on the window | NewAlso right-click > Open with, or double-click |
| Saving an opened file | Saved as a project | NewSaved as a project and written back into your file |
| Working on a whole folder | Not available | NewWorkspace tab: edit every vector XML in a folder, in place |
| Google Fonts | Only while online | NewDownloaded once and kept, so they work offline |
| Your own fonts | Kept in the browser | Copied into the app, with a Fonts folder you can open |
| Window | A browser tab | Native window with its own title bar |
These need a real app on your PC, so a browser tab can't do them.

Pick a folder and Droidwright lists every vector XML inside it, subfolders too. Edits are saved straight into the real files. Create new files or delete them from the cards.
Draw, edit, import and export with no connection at all. Only Google Fonts and the changelog ever go online, and both remember their last result.
Every project is a .json in a folder you choose (default Documents\Droidwright). Copy it, back it up or send it to someone.
Register Droidwright for .svg and .xml in Settings. Opening a file while the app is running sends it to the open window.
Add your own fonts, open the Fonts folder, and keep every Google Font you use. Variable fonts are converted to the exact weight you pick.
The website keeps working, so you can use both.
